Renter-friendly Apartment

The two-room apartment I rented in Berlin for 5.5 years (2021-2026) and with which I started this business. A lot of things in this space were ever-changing, but many I also knew exactly how I wanted to design before I had even moved in. This is truly a place I could call ‘home’ and I am proud to be responsible for having made it so.
I lived through so much joy and so much hardship in this apartment. It carried me through such hellish experiences and it’s also the space I was my most creative in—ever—and in which I fell in love, twice, and where I belly-laughed so hard I nearly peed myself several times. It’s where I cried over heartbreaks, and over medical diagnosis, and it’s also where I healed, where I had friends bring me homemade soup and pass the tissues—for the tears, not the snot.
In this space that was my own for the first time, I loved experimenting with decor so freely. It transformed my experience of housing in ways that inspired me, that inspired this business! And although this chapter is coming to an end this year (2026), I cannot wait to do it all over again wherever I move next.
